Student Conference

On January 30th 2015 the Student's Conference 2015 of the Georg-Simmel Center for Metropolitan Studies took place at the Senatssaal at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Graduates presented their final theses of Urban Studies. The conference serves as a networking platform for an interdisciplinary exchange of young researchers with an interest for Urban research.

The topics of the presented theses encompassed: "Urban Economy and Supply", "Urban Planning and Development", "Social spaces" and "Urban Politics and Housing".

The conference's highlight was the award of the Georg-Simmel-Prize for the best Bachelor thesis (Svenja Linnemann, Institute for Sociology) and the best Master thesis (Paul Neupert, Geography Department).

The application process for the Student's Conference 2016 will start in October 2015.
